Congresswoman Miller Announces Grant for Concord University

Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a Strengthening Institutions Program grant from the Department of Education, worth $447,025, for Concord University. This funding will support the CU Forward Project that will:

Increase access to affordable online courses and market-driven degree programs
Help provide students with research/internships to that lead to graduation and a career
Develop an efficient office of Institutional Research to share data with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the community.
"As we revitalize Southern West Virginia and attract new business to our state, West Virginia's workforce must be prepared to meet the demands of the modern economy," said Congresswoman Miller. "We must provide our universities with the resources they need to educate and train our next generation of workers and leaders. By investing in our students, we are making sure that West Virginia remains competitive for generations to come."

The Strengthening Institutions Program provides grants to Institutions of Higher Education to better serve low-income students.
